7 New Cafes in the Boston Area

Boston's cafe scene has been quickly growing with several cafes that have opened up in the past year from Seaport to Back Bay, Downtown to Porter square, here are seven new spots that have opened their doors in the past year. 

 

Elephantine - Downtown Boston

Located in Downtown Boston, Elephantine was opened by Sherif and Nadine Farag after Nadine left her career in Consulting to open a Bakery. Elephantine was founded on the idea of "good food, a beautiful setting, the nurturing of community, and the art of living well." Their cafe offers a selection of Pastries, Breads, Cakes and more.

Little Wolf - Seaport 

Tucked in the corner of 51 Sleeper Street, Little Wolf Coffee's new Seaport location opened just this past summer. The well known coffee shop from Ipswitch, MA brings its broad selection of espresso and pour over coffee drinks to the heart of the Boston's innovation district.

BON! Specialty Coffee - Beacon Hill

Coffee Speaks Every Language and nowhere is this more true than at BON! Specialty Coffee located in Beacon Hill. This cafe, opened earlier this year brings a wide variety of Matcha and espresso based drinks to its corner near the Boston Commons.

George Howell - Back Bay near Newbury Street

Popping up in the center of the new high rise buildings in Back Bay, George Howell's Third location opened up in the new Lyrik building bringing their award-winning coffee, pour over, and espresso drinks to the bustling tail of Newbury Street.

Lucy and Jane Matcha - Seaport 

Located in Boston's Seaport District, Lucy and Jane Matcha was founded earlier this year with the idea of bringing matcha "rooted in regions with untold stories and unmatched character." Their drinks begin with a base Matcha named "Lucy" or "Jane" from which you can add a selection of flavors to complete your drink.

Nine Winters - Cambridge 

Located between Harvard Square and the Cambridge Fresh Pond, Nine Winters Bakery bringing Korean infused pastries and treats. Founded by Marissa Ferola, a Korean Adoptee who grew up in Massachusetts, and her two children, Janine and Winter. The Cafe brings a broad selection of sweets, milk breads, cakes, and more foods.

Phinista - Porter Square

The beloved Phinista Cafe, which has been opened for years in the Fenway area recently opened a new location in Porter Square in Cambridge. Their menu includes a wide variety of Vietnamese Phin Coffee, Matcha, Fizzy drinks, and Tea paired with a wide variety of Pastries and Vietnamese Banh Mi and noodle bowls.
